Cuddly as a Kitten?

Who came up with "cuddly as a kitten?'  Miss Daisy Dew is so busy all the time!  Me reaching out to grab a cuddle is more like a challenge of "Catch Me If You Can!"  Mini-progress tonight... She's actually relaxing on the foot rest of my recliner, watching tv with me!  I'll take it!  It's as close to a cuddly kitten as I've been able to get since she came to live with us!

"Just don't reach down to try to touch me!"

"Awwww..."

P.S. She does snuggle up next to me while I sleep at night... I don't mean to imply she's totally un-cuddly! =^..^=

Miss Daisy Dew

A little grey and white kitten has joined our family!  The first couple of days she was happy to snuggle on our laps.  Once she became comfortable with her new house, she got quite busy exploring and finding her own favorite spots to hide and sleep.  She's very independent with her own little quirks.  She will NOT go into the kitchen!  She no longer likes to cuddle.  She afraid of the great outdoors... And is too quick for me to catch her for a quick snuggle.  I'm already worried about taking het to her first vet appointment!  Will I be able to catch her?  Every day is a new story. Time will tell!

Our dear little Gracie is gone.  She got weaker and weaker.  I had to feed her with an eye dropper at the end.  She cuddled in a blanket in my arms as let me know it was time for her to leave.  It's hard being here without her.  I catch myself looking for her and wait for her to cuddle up on my left side as we watch tv at night... She was the best little fur friend ever!  Rest peacefully little Gracie!  We will always love you! =^..^= <3

Gracie update

Here it is the middle of May already!  Gracie update... The vet thinks she may have had a stroke.  She is blind in her left eye, and it is winked shut most of the time.  She's lost her equilibrium and often falls.  She has trouble eating, a combination of her tongue not working correctly and difficulties swallowing.  Gracie has lost a lot of weight and hair!  Her favorite food these days is (human) baby food... Chicken, turkey or beef!  She enjoys having her face wiped off and being brushed by me... It must bring back memories of her mamma grooming her!

Poor Gracie

Our Gracie isn't doing too well.  She's pretty lethargic, not eating... And worrying us!  

Her favorite resting place is in a sock drawer... I emptied a drawer in the livingroom (see the junk on the top?) so we can keep an eye on her.  She seems to like it just fine.  It's so odd not to have to share my chair with her... Not to have her demanding the clump of ice in her dish... Not to have to fill her food dish!

She will start on steroids tomorrow.  Hoping it helps her feel better, get her eating again and stop all the coughing and sneezing.  Poor baby!

This is Gracie... She's saving my place in "our" recliner in this photo... If I'm in this chair, she is right there with me!

And is the sole subject of others:

Gracie hasn't been feeling well.  She hasn't been eating and has taken to hiding from us.  A visit to Dr. Kim left us know she's lost over two pounds since her last visit in May.  That's a lot of weight for a 12 pounder!  Blood work, fluids, meds, special food... 

After a trip to the store, we have a shelf full of different foods to try... Let's hope for a quick recovery!

Just as I sent this to "save," Gracie wandered out to the kitchen and ate some of her regular dry food!  First time in over a week!  Maybe prayers work just that quickly!

That was short-lived... Poor baby can't keep food down...
