Puppy love!

Meet three ADORABLE couch potatoes!  These are the sweetest little fur balls on earth!

I worked from photos Mary sent me to create these three images... My work doesn't begin to do them justice!

This little guy is blind in one eye... He was rescued from a puppy mill... Sweet!  His "mommy" is teaching in South Korea this year, so he is camping out with his aunt and grandparents!

This is Abby... I'm most disappointed in this drawing... It doesn't begin to show how adorable she is!

Ladybug... I Love her eyes... And her spots... And her curly ears!  She stayed closer to me than the other two... I think she liked me best!

There is Lily, the cat... I'll save her for tomorrow... I'm too full of pups to draw a calico tonight! :-)

An Afternoon With Mary

I had a great visit with Mary! 3,5 hours zoomed by so quickly!

This is what we looked like (above)

And this is just some of what we talked about (below)

Thank you God for giving me Mary! She is pure delight to me,  I am so blessed to be counted as one of her friends!

Wheeee! Pt. 2

Here is the big brother sliding down our driveway!  Watchful eyes at both ends... And he had a blast!

Wheeee!

Our youngest grandson had his own way of using the saucer on our steep driveway in the fresh snow today!  What fun!

It's Been a Long Time

...since we've had cold like this!  I knew when I left work on Friday that we'd be closed today (Monday) due to the extreme cold!  Snow days happen... But it's been a long time since schools and businesses closed due to sub-zero weather!

So here I sit, thinking of friends who had their heat go out overnight... They are number 18 on the list for repair... And that was with calling in right at 8 am!

I'm thinking of cars that wouldn't start today, including our son's...

And of babysitters who canceled at the last minute, including our daughter's...

And of folks stranded along highways, in airports... Of those who MUST work on days like this, especially those working outside!  I'm thinking of long hours out in this frigid weather by heating repair guys... Plumbers... Cable and telephone people... Car mechanics...

And feeling blessed to be hunkered down in the comfort of my livingroom...Gracie in my lap... iPad in hand... Big tv.... Hot cocoa.... Hmmm...

Wind chills up to 50 below zero!

Draw-on!

Ok... AT&T has a commercial with a man chatting with four youngsters around a table... And one mentions his "New Year's Revolution..."   Cute.  But it's cuter when my granddaughters say it, UNSCRIPTRED!  As I was getting my goodnight kiss the other night, the nine year old said, "so is this today's revolution"?  I was working on this drawing at the time.  She also told me her third grade class has made a revolution to not get so crazy in the afternoon...

It's unofficial... But I am continuing my drawing a day... And I am trying to post more here.  Don't know if anyone is reading... But it's really not important.  I am "revolting" for my own good...

Inspired!

My sister JoAnne is fighting breast cancer.  Her attitude has been amazing as she travels down the mysterious medical road of unknown twists and turns.  She has chronicled every appointment by posting photos on Facebook.  Her sock monkey, Hope always with her...  I doodled around with some different brushes and tools to create this drawing of her...  Love you Jo!!!  Keep your dukes up!

Here We Go!

2014 has arrived!  I am pleased to report that I fulfilled my 2013 Resolution to do a drawing a day... I actually have 378 "works of art" in my 2013 folder!  This is the first time in my life I've managed to keep a resolution... But then it is sort of like promising to eat chocolate everyday!  :-)

So here we are.... The first day of 2014.  While I haven't officially declared a resolution... I plan to keep drawing... Will try to explore different tools in my iPad's Art Studio... And will try to share it here more often!
